Coastal Carolina University invites applications for an Assistant Director of Admissions, Recruitment Planning position. This position serves as a member of the undergraduate admissions leadership team and is responsible for implementing policies and procedures for the recruitment of prospective undergraduate students within an assigned territory, supervision of staff, and coordination of recruitment travel planning for the undergraduate admissions staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing and coordinating the master recruitment plan for the undergraduate admissions counselors, recruiting in an assigned territory by planning and engaging in travel, counseling students and parents, reviewing applications, communicating the University message through individual contacts and group presentations at on and off-campus events, supervising staff, and planning staff training sessions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of direct admissions experience in a college or university setting are required. A valid driver's license is required. Master's degree preferred. Prior experience with the coordination of recruitment travel planning and prior supervisory experience is preferred. Additionally, a successful candidate should possess a sensitivity to the needs of all prospective students and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and counselors; the ability to analyze admissions documents and make admissions decisions, perform detailed work, and handle students' confidential matters; the ability to use an admissions student information system and basic computer software to update and carry out the details of student recruitment activities, the ability to be a team player and be able to work in a multi-task environment; excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated leadership/supervisory capabilities; the ability to hire, train, evaluate, and effectively supervise staff; the ability to establish and maintain relationships with professional staff across the University.
